Alexa Ferst, MHC-LP

Alexa is a provisionally licensed therapist committed to supporting individuals of all ages and backgrounds on their journey toward healing and personal growth. She specializes in working with adults navigating challenging life experiences, adjusting to change, working with symptoms of anxiety and depression, and responding to traumatic events. She received her education from the Clinical Mental Health Counseling Master’s Program from the City University of New York.

Alexa takes a client-centered approach, rooted in empathy, respect, and cultural sensitivity. She works collaboratively with clients to understand their unique needs and goals. Alexa employs a multitude of modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). With a strong belief in the mind-body connection, she aims to create a safe and comfortable space where clients can explore their thoughts, emotions, and experiences without fear of judgment.

Alongside her clinical experience, Alexa also has an Applied Behavioral Analysis background, which fuels her passion for working with underserved populations. Her goal as a clinician is to support individuals in creating lasting positive change and finding balance in their lives.

Outside of her time at MMHC, Alexa enjoys exploring new terrains by traveling or indulging in a good book!
