Our Team

Lindsay is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with 10 years experience working with adolescents and adults, with diverse backgrounds and struggles that allows her to be a more well-rounded and seasoned therapist. Lindsay is licensed in NY, VT, FL, and CT and holds in person sessions in NYC in midtown Manhattan across from Grand Central.

Lindsay was a family therapist for 4 years at one of New York City’s oldest nonprofit organizations and then for the last 6 years she has been doing individual and couples therapy in private practice. She has received extensive training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), motivational interviewing, and Internal Family Systems (IFS). Additionally, she incorporates mindfulness skills, and practical feedback for clients to utilize inside and outside of sessions to ensure they are getting the most out of their work together. Most recently, Lindsay is excited to be trained in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy to be used for upper case “T” traumas and lower case “t” traumas. She feels that EMDR is an effective way to allow clients to do deeper work within their nervous systems and has seen great success with clients after just a few sessions.

Lindsay invites clients struggling with issues like anxiety, codependency, addiction, and eating disorders. She is typically the best fit for people who are motivated and looking to make difficult changes in their life that they have struggled with managing on their own and need more support with. She offers a warm and honest space to meet people where they are at and walk with them through the process. She will gently challenge limiting beliefs, whether it is perfectionism or "not enoughness" that usually hold people back from being their most authentic and compassionate selves. From burnt-out healthcare providers, to overworked teachers, to overwhelmed parents, Lindsay enjoys working with them all.

Lindsay’s style is active and collaborative, as she likes to provide feedback and observations during sessions to reflect on patterns that she notices. She feels therapy is an equal partnership and her focus is to be fully present and engaged with clients during the entire treatment process. Her practice also welcomes everyone from all backgrounds, is a gender-affirming and an LGBTQA+ space.

When she is not helping clients or working with associate therapists at MMHC, Lindsay likes spending time with her family, her long haired mini dachshund, Peanut, exploring all the restaurants NYC has to offer (she tries to avoid going to the same place twice!), and being near water and lots of greenery.
